Robin Hood Airport

Norking was part of the major airport development at Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport. This project featured high and enhance specifications. The curtain walling here helps to create a calm and airy space - this building looks good from the inside and outside. The materials were tested for all extremes of weather - water penetration, air permeability and wind resistance. The curtain walling was reinforced with steel. Extensive engineering work was needed for the design of secondary steel supports and the associated mullion connections. The finished landside and air-side curtain walling in total covers over 2000m sq. Norking received an award for 'Achieving a high level of safety on the Bovis Lend Lease Robin Hood Airport project.'
